Feel the wind - 1

During my trip to Bangalore in 2013, I happened to go to my uncle's farmland. Asking my son to pose, I got this "I am king" expression from him :-)

I tried to change the feel of the picture slightly to more like feeling the wind and my first attempt is this.

30 minutes of sketching with 6B graphite stick.

Vase with tulips

Started off with a simple vase with 3 tulips. Graphite. 10" x 4.5".

Then I decided to put in some color accents. This is my first attempt at this. So, it does not look striking. Of course this is WorkInProgress.

African Crowned Crane

After a long hiatus, I completed this and got it framed.

I think I suck at painting glass :-( Anyway, here's my 3rd miniature. Thanks to Sundu, this one was not done in one day. It took me a fifteen minute session on the second day.

My first miniature is ready. It is not exactly the size of an art card. Slowly plan to improve on my skills with Daily painting.

Art card, editions and originals

Art cards are normally creations by artists in any medium on any surface. The only rule is that they are of the size 3.5" by 2.5".

Starting from today till July 20th I plan to paint one a day. Check by the end of the day for a new one.

Okay! That sounds very ambitious. But hope I can do it... ... ...

Charcoal - Vibha

Bala's cousin's daughter. I loved the way she was relaxing. I did this in charcoal.




I think I will try this in oils.
